Jayden Trawick-Junta Graduate Student

Jayden Trawick-Junta is a first-year student from Portland, Oregon, studying race, culture, and sports in the U.S. during the twentieth century. His research examines Negro League baseball teams and their interactions with Black communities in their cities from the 1920s to 1960s. He explores how regional differences have shaped conceptions of race, culture, and community within the sports world.

He earned his B.A. from Berea College in History and African & African American Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
