Mary Elizabeth MarquardtGraduate Student

Mary Elizabeth Marquardt studies religion, race, and legal history in the U.S. South. She focuses on 20th century interactions between churches and the state, with a special interest in religious schools and taxation. She has previously focused on the Catholic Church in the U.S. Deep South. A native Atlantan, Mary Elizabeth received her A.B. from Princeton University in history and African American studies and her M.A.R. from Yale University.
