Savanna Courtney-DurrettGraduate Student

Savanna Courtney-Durrett is a first-year Ph.D. student interested in nineteenth and twentieth century U.S. history, African American history, and the history of the American South. Savanna received her B.A. in Africana Studies and Political Science, and M.A. in History from the University of North Florida. Her research examines African American women’s entrepreneurship and activism in the funeral business during the early twentieth century.
