Rachel Shapiro is a third year graduate student in the History Department. Her work examines wet nursing, infant and maternal health, and public health interventions in modern France and its former colonies. She also has a strong interest in interdisciplinary studies and is currently pursing both a MPH in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education and a certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
