I am a third year PhD student studying modern U.S. History with a focus on Black women's agency in religious spaces. I received my bachelor's and master's from Mississippi State University, where I studied Political Science, U.S. History, and African American Studies. In terms of my current research, I am very interested in Black women led organizations like the Southern Christian Leadership Conference/Women Organizational Movement for Equality Now, Inc. (SCLC/W.O.M.E.N.).
