Biography 

Kyungtaek Kwon was educated in Seoul, Moscow, and New York before enrolling at Emory. His dissertation illuminates how the Soviet Far Eastern city of Komsomol’sk-na-Amure shaped the city’s identity from the 1930s to the 1980s, focusing on the roles of Soviet authorities, architects, and city builders.
